Psychology
Psychology is studied at AS/A2 Level and is designed to develop a basic understanding of psychological approaches, through theories, research and concepts. Students will develop an understanding of ethical, cultural, social and contemporary issues. The AS content includes cognitive, developmental, physiological, social psychology and individual differences. In A2, students develop and extend these core areas. It introduces research methods and statistics to be used for the design, carrying out, and writing up of experiments. The students complete examinations for both AS and A2 and complete one piece of coursework. The examining board is AQA, specification A. Currently the qualification is much in demand within a broad spectrum of careers.
